French Confection
About Us
We are a pastry shop specializing in French breakfast pastries and desserts.
Chef Xavier came to the US at age 28 after working in his parents’ bakery as a child in Reims, and in his cousin’s briocherie in Cannes, as an adult. He and his wife, Karen, opened their first bakery in Olney, Maryland and spent 20 years in that area before moving their bakery to Middletown, Rhode Island in 2011. Chef Xavier, and now his son, make croissants, napoleons, eclairs, tarts, cakes and other goodies from scratch with recipes handed down from 6 generations in France.
Not only are our breakfast pastries baked fresh for customers every day, they can be purchased frozen, unbaked for those who want to bake their own. We will offer proofing and baking advice as desired.
